Match forecast
Man United have been inconsistent for the better part of this season especially in the Premier League. Their performance against Arsenal was arguably the best ever under Mourinho but it seems the Red Devils are not yet lucky when it comes to bagging all the three points.
West Ham, on the other hand, have grown increasingly confident against the 20-time Premier League champions most recently last season when Slaven Bilic’s men won their last ever game at Upton Park 3-2 against the Red Devils. They will not hope to approach the Old Trafford game with more confidence considering the fact that they face the threat of relegation if they don't bounce back to winning ways.
But judging from Man Utd’s performance against Feyenoord, there is some ray of hope for the home fans this weekend. Mourinho’s men are already trailing league leaders Chelsea by 12 points and a defeat here could jeopardize their title ambitions. Lastly, only Hull City (28), Crystal Palace (26) and Swansea (26) have conceded more goals in the Premier League than the Hammers (23) and that means the hosts should not have a problem finding the back of the net and sealing the three important points.
