On Saturday, Manchester City made the trip to Turf Moor to lock horns with Burnley. The games posed a wonderful gift for the Citizens in the league race, given that two other contenders – Chelsea and Tottenham – face off later that same day.
The away side began on the wrong foot, though, as they were trailing 1-0 after 14 minutes. As Sergio Aguero has done on several previous occasions, he bailed his team, scoring once before the break. He then completed his brace 15 minutes after the second-half resumed.
His two-goal haul saw the Argentine go level with Diego Costa in the goalscoring chart, but that was not the only remarkable feat behind Aguero’s form this weekend. The former Atletico Madrid striker took his tally to 33 goals in his last 34 games.
Aguero’s lethalness in front of goal is well known, but the aforementioned tally is one to drool over – unless you are Cristiano or Messi. One more strike and the 28-year-old will boast a one-goal-per-game ratio.
It didn’t stop there, however. His opening goal against the Clarets saw him achieve a far more impressive statistic. Aguero has faced 30 different teams in the English Premier League, and Burnley was the 29th team he has scored against.

The only team Kun failed to penetrate was Bolton.
