We take a look at the teams that have already qualified for the knockout phase, those that haven't, those that can still qualify, and so much more.

As the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League approaches the knockout stage, we take a look at four aspects – the teams that have qualified, those that can still qualify, the eliminated ones, and those heading to the Europa League.

Qualified teams

Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Leicester City and Monaco have already booked a ticket to the knockout phase by virtue of being group winners. Other qualified sides include Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, Man City, Juventus, Real Madrid and PSG.

Teams that can still qualify

With one round of matches remaining, Portuguese giants Benfica can still qualify, and the same case applies to Turkish outfit Besiktas. Europa League defending champions Sevilla also have a chance of booking a place in the knockout phase alongside Napoli, Lyon, Porto and Kobenhavn.

Eliminated teams

They include Club Brugge, Basel, Borussia Monchengladbach, Dinamo Zagreb, CSKA Moskva, Dynamo Kyiv, Ludogorets Razgrad, Legia Warsaw, Rostov, PSV Eindhoven, Tottenham Hotspur and Sporting CP. It should be noted that Borussia Monchengladbach have qualified for the Europa League round of 32.

A total of 12 teams have already booked a place in the last round of 16 of this season’s Champions League campaign. Only four of the available seven teams that have not qualified will make it to the elimination stage to join the first 12. The final group stage matches will be played on 6 and 7 December.
