The Swedish striker has scored eight goals across all competitions for the Red Devils, but some fans believe his performance has been 'below average'.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic's most recent quote may not go down well among Manchester United's supporters, as he has revealed his former team was better crafted than the Red Devils.

Speaking to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet, the tall striker admitted Paris Saint Germain knew how to work as a unit, something that is yet to be accomplished by José Mourinho's side.

"The team I signed for this summer is not as strong as the one I left, but when Mourinho called the decision was easy," Zlatan stated.

In fact, if José Mourinho had never joined the Red Devils, the former Inter Milan player would've taken another choice regarding his playing career.

"The presence of Mourinho was very much decisive. When he calls I have no problem coming, all we had to decide was when I was to be presented as a United player. The rest, the financial deal, was not the difficult part," the player added.

Before the end of the interview, Ibrahimovic admitted the team will have to work extra hours to live up to the hype built after a high number of transfers.

"With all the new signings this summer, people were getting all excited,” he said. “But it has been four or five years that the club has not won the league or been in the top of the table. That is something we work on," he concluded.

Zlatan will once again be elegible after missing Saturday's clash against Arsenal.
