This could be the most bizarre transfer story you will hear this week.

Chelsea defender John Terry has been linked with a shocking reunion with former manager Jose Mourinho at Manchester United in January. The 35-year-old defender is expected to leave the Stamford Bridge this season after falling out of favor at the club under new manager Antonio Conte.

The English player has been linked with a move to the MLS and the Chinese Super League when his contract expires, but according to Ray Wilkins, the veteran could decide to join Mourinho at Old Trafford. The former Man Utd and Chelsea star told TalkSPORT:

"I don't think China will be on John's radar.

"What about Old Trafford? He's not playing for Chelsea but I think he still has plenty to offer.

"There will be someone out there who would love to have him."

Terry is a Chelsea legend, having played for the club since 1998 when he made his official debut. He won the league title thrice under Mourinho – a factor that could play a huge role in the rumored reunited with his former boss.
