Arsene Wenger's recent revelation has left some Arsenal fans toungue tied.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has opened up about his favorite stadium in England and the revelation is quite surprising. Obviously, many Arsenal fans would expect the French tactician to name the Emirates Stadium as his favorite but that has not been the case.

According to the long-serving boss, the Anfield stadium is his favorite in England. The stadium is home to Liverpool FC and is well-known for its hyped atmosphere thanks to the club’s vocal fans. The facility has a capacity of 54,074 and is located in Anfield, Liverpool.

Speaking to beIN Sports, Wenger said this about Anfield;

''My favourite stadium with biggest fanbase with the most heated atmosphere is Liverpool because there's special vibes there.

''The song before the game, You'll Never Walk Alone, the history of the club and the stadium itself.

''Before it was Highbury. It had a special soul. Now it's Everton, Liverpool, Newcastle was great too.

''Football is like what it was 30 years ago because of the environment of the game. The passion, the soul of the stadium. It has the most heated, supportive atmosphere.''

The former Monaco boss has guided Arsenal to 23 matches at Anfield, won seven, drawn seven and lost nine. His men have scored 38 goals and conceded 45 at the Reds’ home soil. This coming weekend, he will travel with the Gunners to yet another hostile atmosphere – Old Trafford – as Arsenal take on Manchester United in the Premier League.
