Victor Moses is a different player under new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.

Brilliant! That is the word that better describes Victor Moses’s performance for his home country Nigeria against Algeria in their World Cup qualifier match on Saturday. The hosts entertained the home crowd with exciting performances from the likes of Alex Iwobi with his Ronaldinho-like moves, and then came Victor Moses.

The 25-year-old, who was conspicuously out of form last season under Jose Mourinho at Chelsea, seems to have rediscovered his goal-scoring boots and most importantly, confidence. So good he was against the Desert Warriors that he found the back of the net twice as the Super Eagles cruised to a 3-1 win over the visitors, a result that was widely unexpected.

Under new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte, Moses is becoming more lethal in front of goal both for club and country. For the Blues this season in all competitions, he has already scored three goals and provided one assist in 12 appearances.
