There is hope that the Brazilian won't be another Luis Suarez.

If you’re a Liverpool fan worried about the future of one of their biggest players – Philippe Coutinho – you can be forgiven. The Reds have a long history of yielding to interest from bigger clubs, which we have seen several times.

Barcelona have twice raided the Merseyside giant in recent years, signing Luis Suarez and Javier Mascherano from Anfield. The Premier League outfit also lost Xabi Alonso to Real Madrid, whilst Chelsea prised Fernando Torres away from England’s second most successful club.

Coutinho has been excellent this season for club and country, helping Liverpool to the top of the Premier League standings and bagging exquisite goals for the Selecao for fun. As a result, SPORT’s claim that the Blaugrana are interested in the playmaker comes as little surprise.

PSG are also reportedly keen on 24, but Coutinho’s relationship and chemistry with Neymar would make Camp Nou the likely destination. Regardless, Liverpool may not even be inclined to entertain bids.

ESPN FC claims that a source has informed them that there is no buyout clause to trigger in the Brazilian’s contract at Anfield. This means his English employers hold the upper hand and can rebuff any bid from the Catalan giants.

This, of course, doesn’t mean a transfer is impossible. Barca could make a tempting offer which Liverpool might accept, but ESPN FC also added the former Inter Milan ace is "clearly happy" with Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The Selecao ace has formed a formidable partnership with Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino which has many Liverpool fans believing this will be the season they finally win the Premier League.
