Match facts

  • Belgium are currently cruising in Group H, are they boast a 100 percent record after three World Cup qualifiers.
  • With no defeats, Roberto Martinez’s boys have also yet to concede a single goal, scoring 13 along the way.
  • Their last game saw them thrash Gibraltar 6-0.
  • The Red Devils, however, lost their last meeting with Estonia back in 2009.
  • That, though, was only one loss from four clashes, with Belgium winning all the other three.

Can Estonia halt FIFA’s number four ranked side?

Roberto Martinez and Thierry Henry may not have enjoyed a lovely start to life as national team coaches, but the duo is doing wonders for Belgium in the World Cup qualifiers. Three games have produced three wins, 13 goals scores, and zero goals conceded.

They sit level on points with Greece, who also boast a 100 percent record, but the Red Devils have the upper hand thanks to their superior goal difference. With this form, little can bet against Belgium finishing in number one spot.

Their last game saw them thrash Gibraltar 6-0, with Crystal Palace striker Christian Benteke grabbing a hat-trick. He opened his three-goal account after only seven seconds, going down in history as the quickest goal in World Cup qualifiers history.

Estonia sit in fourth, six points adrift, after losing two of their opening three fixtures. Their most recent defeat came courtesy of a 2-0 loss to Greece. Magnus Pehrsson’s crew will have to stop Hazard and Co. on Sunday, and may have a boost for that daunting task.

Martinez revealed (as per Sky Sports) that Vincent Kompany is a doubt for the game. He said: "There is no injury to Vincent Kompany. We did not want to take any risks with him [in the Netherlands friendly] and Kompany did not feel well after the warm-up.

"I want every player to be 100 per cent. I would be surprised if he can play Sunday, but it is still too early to say.

"We will have to assess the situation, especially with his club. If he is not ready, I will take another defender."

Unfortunately for the away side, Belgium will have many world-class players to pick from, with in-form Eden Hazard and Yannick Carrasco leading the pack.
