Is Luis Suarez headed to the Premier League to join Liverpool's greatest rivals? Well, Barca president has an answer.

Barcelona president Jose Luis Bartomeu has come clean regarding the rumors suggesting that their lethal forward Luiz Suarez could join Manchester United. The Uruguayan plied his trade for Man Utd’s greatest rivals Liverpool in the Premier League before sealing a sensational move to Nou Camp in 2014 for 65 million British pounds.

But there have been rumours doing rounds in a section of the press that the Barcelona forward could be tempted to seal a big-money move to Old Trafford in January to help sharpen the club’s strike force. However, in an interview with Sky Sports’ Spanish football guru Guillem Balague, Bartomeu said:

"We read, we listen, we see this news, but of course, our interest in this particular case is that Luis Suarez is happy at Barcelona.

"For me, he is probably the best striker in Europe and we want him to be with us. Right now, we are trying to extend his contract with Barcelona and he is one of our big future efforts because he is still young, he has a vision, a lot of ambition.

"He is happy at Barcelona and together with Lionel Messi and Neymar, they are really very dangerous."
