Will Gonzalo Higuain score against his former side?
Juventus
206. That's the number of goals Juventus have scored against Napoli, which just so happens to be more than against any other Serie A side. The Bianconeri come into this match off the back of a resounding 4-1 win over Sampdoria. It was exactly the response Massimiliano Allegri needed following the team's 1-0 loss to AC Milan, and the team welcomed back two key players from injury: Giorgio Chiellini and Claudio Marchisio. The former netted a rare brace as the latter featured for the first time since rupturing his ACL this past spring.
However, Paulo Dybala is still out, meaning that Allegri will again have to rely on the strike pairing of Gonzalo Higuain and Mario Mandzukic. Higuain in particular is one that all eyes will be on, namely due to his move from Napoli to Juventus this past summer that invoked the ire of passionate Partenopei supporters throughout the city.
Napoli
Meanwhile, Napoli also won their midweek tie, albeit not in the most convincing fashion. Despite seeing off Empoli 2-0, the Partenopei were far from their best, and it is becoming apparent that their lack of offensive options could cause some more problems for them as the season progresses. New signing Arkadiusz Milik is out for the next few months after suffering a knee injury whilst on international duty with Poland. It was a big blow as the ex-Ajax man had started life off very well with Napoli, and another option not available for this game will be Manolo Gabbiadini due to suspension.
As such, Maurizio Sarri will have to deploy Dries Mertens up top. Currently, Napoli sit four points Juventus, so should they win today, the Partenopei could close that gap to just one. More important, it will end their growing hoodoo against the Bianconeri that have seen them lose their past five matches in Turin.
Broadcast info - Empoli vs. Roma

Match facts and other historical stats
- Empoli have only won three out of their last 22 meetings with Roma
- All of those took place at their home stadium; the most recent was in February 2007
- The Azzurri, however have scored 19 goals against Roma
- They have only scored more (20) against Inter in the top flight
- Roma have lost just two out of their last 27 Serie A games
- The Giallorossi have netted at least two goals in 11 out of their last 13 road games
Can Roma make it five wins on the trot against a floundering Empoli?
Empoli
Empoli are currently winless in their past five matches, with a recent 2-0 loss to Napoli prior to this upcoming match. The Azzurri also have scored a paltry two goals so far. That's two in ten Serie A games. Even fellow relegation candidates Crotone (8), Palermo (7), and Pescara (9) have fared better than the Tuscan outfit. Having failed to score in their past seven games, it goes without saying that unless if they correct their drought in front of goal, Empoli will find it tough to avoid the drop at the end of this term.
Roma
Roma showed good mental fortitude to come from behind against Sassuolo to ultimately win 3-1. As such, Luciano Spalletti's men have now won their past four games and surely are the favorites to make it a fifth straight result this Sunday. Currently sitting two points behind Juventus, and two ahead of Napoli, Roma fans will naturally have a keen interest in the outcome of Saturday's tie between the Bianconeri and the Partenopei.
However, with European competition coming up in a few days, the Giallorossi may opt to rest a few players ahead of their trip to Austria to take on Austria Wien.
