Lionel Messi got a bit closer to the top of the UEFA Champions League all-time goal scoring charts by destroying former manager Pep Guardiola and Manchester City.
This is the second time the Argentinean has scored a hat-trick against an English team. He managed to do so against Arsenal back in 2010. While destroying Man City's defense, he became only the second player in the tournament's history to score back-to-back hat tricks. The other player to achieve such a feat was Luiz Adriano, two seasons ago.
