Match facts

  • Leicester may be struggling in England, but they are enjoying a wonderful Champions League debut season with a 100 percent record so far.
  • The Foxes, unbeaten, sit on top of the table having triumphed over Club Brugge and Porto.
  • Kobenhavn sit one spot below the Premier League champions, boasting four points.
  • The Danish outfit are also unbeaten, having thrashed Club Brugge 4-0 and drawn 1-1 with their Portuguese competitors.

Can Leicester forget about their troubles back home for a day?

Last season saw Chelsea, the then reigning English Premier League champions, endure the worst title defense en route to a 10th-placed finish.

However, Leicester look to threaten that awful season of the Blues’, as the Foxes campaign so far has been nothing short of disappointing – given the heights they achieved last term.

On Saturday, Claudio Ranieri’s boys traveled to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea, but showed that they are but a shadow of their former selves; losing 3-0.

That was their fourth defeat this season, all of which came on the road, a first for a defending Premier League champion since Blackburn in 95/96. The loss also left Leicester 13th in the standings.

In Europe, though, it is a whole different story for the Foxes. They have two wins from as many games and have conceded only once along the way – a better defense than Man City, Spurs, and Real Madrid.

Another win in the Champions League may just help them forget their troubles back home, and overcome their woes.
