Although the tournament started weeks ago, both Spanish giants knew today which sides they'll be facing in their first Copa outing this season.

Real Madrid and Barcelona finally know which teams they'll have to face in order to make it to the final stages of this year's Copa del Rey.

Both Spanish giants were drawn against lower-tier teams, which will surely make it a bit easier to make it to the Round of 16 stage.

Real Madrid will try to save face this season, after suffering quite an embarrassing elimination last year due to Denis Cheryshev's performance during the first-leg match against Cádiz. Los Blancos were eliminated in the Round of 32 without even playing the second game, while Barcelona went on to win the trophy.

This season, Los Blaugranas will start their title defense on November 30, when they visit Segunda B side Hércules. Meanwhile, Los Blancos will also fight for a spot in the next round with Cultural Leonesa, another Segunda B team.

The second leg of each pairing is supposed to be played on December 21, but Real Madrid will have to re-schedule that game, as they will be playing in the Club World Cup.

Here are the rest of the tournament's Round of 32 matchups.
