Ghana secured their spot at this juncture by beating Comoros 2-0. It was not the best performance from the Black Stars against the minnows, but it was enough to give them the result they needed. Avram Grant's side are aiming to feature at their fourth straight World Cup since making their debut in 2006 and come into this game having succumbed to a narrow 1-0 loss to Russia in their most recent friendly.

In terms of personnel, Asamoah Gyan has reportedly recovered from an injury to link-up again with the squad, but both Kwadwo Asamoah and Andre Dede Ayew will not be able to feature.

Uganda

Meanwhile, Uganda, who have been under the tutelage of Serbian tactician Milutin Sredojević since 2013, have qualified for their first AFCON tournament in nearly four decades. The last time the Cranes featured in the continental competition was in 1978, during which they finished in second place. 

Defender Denis Iguma returns from suspension, and ciould potentially replace Nicholas Wadada for this fixture.
