Super-sub Karim Benzema was on target for Real Madrid in the second half of their La Liga clash against Las Palmas on Saturday. His goal had given the visitors the lead thanks to Marco Asensio’s opener, while the hosts had opened their account through Tana. The two sides went to the break with the scores all even.
But Benzema and Real Madrid’s celebrations at large were shortlived when Sergio Araujo scored the equalizer with less than five minutes to go. The two teams shared the spoils at full time but Karim Benzema had a personal record to celebrate despite dropping two crucial points for the second time in less than a week. The Frenchman had scored against Las Palmas in his first-ever meeting with Los Amarillos. As a result, he has now scored against all 30 teams he has played against in La Liga.
