The Colombian striker wasn't able to keep Monaco as Ligue 1's leaders after losing agains Mario Balotelli's Nice in the Mediterranean Derby.

Radamel Falcao had a tough game against Nice yesterday, but the aftermath of that match was something no one expected.

The Colombian player left the pitch due to a massive blow suffered against Nice's goalkeeper while hunting for the ball. As a precaution, Monaco's medical staff took the player to the hospital, where he remains under medical review following a battery of tests. Falcao came down with a concussion, and is expected to stay in the hospital for at least one more night.

Have a look at the gruesome clash.

Falcao's team dropped to Ligue 1's third spot, following their 4-0 loss against Nice. Considering the extent of the clash, the Colombian could end up missing Les Princes' next match against Angers.
