The Leicester City vs Chelsea clash could as well be voted the most thrilling match of the week thanks to a set of well-taken goals, amazing twists and turns, and not forgetting the Cesc Fabregas factor. The Spanish midfielder, who has been struggling to find playtime under new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte this season, finally had some time to flex his muscles when he was named in the starting lineup for the Blues.
And the former Arsenal and Barcelona man proved exactly why Conte has been making a mistake benching him. With the thrilling match tied at 2-2 at the end of regular time, both teams had a chance claim victory in extra time, and that’s when Fabregas stepped up.
The 29-year-old scored two brilliant goals in a span of three minutes for the visitors at the King Power Stadium to give Chelsea 4-2 lead even before the end of the first half of extra time. His first goal was a perfect combination with teammate Eden Hazard. Watch it below:
