Despite being left out of Chelsea's four starting lineups, Cesc Fabregas is still quite an asset for the Blues. His absence has sparked all sorts of transfer rumors, but today, Italian boss Antonio Conte set the record straight and denied he wants to send the midfielder packing during the next transfer window.
"No. Cesc is in my plans, he is in Chelsea plans. We all know Cesc is a fantastic player and I’m pleased to see him in every training session with great intensity. If he continues in this way, it is very difficult for me to choose. But I want this from my players, to put many doubts in my mind before I choose the line-up," Conte stated.
The 29-year old seemed to be on his way out of the club, with rumors coming in from Italy about a possible transfer to AC Milan. Having played only 26 minutes in two EPL games, Fabregas has been able to hand out one assist for the Blues, something that hasn't gone unnoticed to his boss.
"He is a great player, great technical player but I’m starting to know him. He is a great personality," the Italian added.
The Blues are getting ready to battle Liverpool on Friday night, in what should be an interesting match between two clubs considered as title contenders for the 2016-2017 season.
