The Chilean goalkeeper's debut did not go as planned...

Claudio Bravo had to wait, but the goalkeeper finally made his Manchester City debut on Saturday, starting the all-important clash with neighbors Manchester United.

The custodian who had ousted former number one choice goalkeeper Joe Hart was given the nod by Pep Guardiola, as the Spaniard looked to get the better of Jose Mourinho’s side.

Everything started brilliantly for the Chilean shot-stopper. The Citizens marched to a two-goal lead thanks to strikes from Kevin de Bruyne and Kelechi Iheanacho, with Bravo rarely being challenged.

All was well until the 42nd minute, that is, when a huge blunder from the former Barca man saw Zlatan Ibrahimovic score right before the break to pull one back for the home side.

Bravo, who had left his line to collect a cross, dropped the ball right next to the Swedish striker who made no mistake in burying it into the away team’s net.

Of course, in typical fashion, Twitter was quick to tear the goalkeeper apart for his mistake. Others couldn’t help but claim that Joe Hart would have been able to catch that ball. Check out the best tweets.
