The former English midfielder is expected to announce where his MLS franchise will play, with ongoing negotiations to build a stadium in Miami.

David Beckham's business deals could have been put on hold if it wasn't for an unexpected hero.

Earlier this week, the former English superstar misplaced his wallet while talking some time off in a Beverly Hills hotel. But who helped him recover it? None other than basketball great Shaquille O'Neal.

The former Los Angeles Lakers told TMZ.com about the incident in a video.

"I was walking around in a hotel, when I found something lying on the floor. It was a wallet! I picked it up to do the right thing and then I noticed it belongs to my man David Beckham," O'Neal stated.

The 44-year old added that he preferred to deliver it personally, since he didn't trust the hotel's personnel with Beckham's belongings.

"It has a lot of credit cards & personal stuff. I'm not going to give it to the hotel's staff -- I don't trust them! So,David, I've got your wallet, call me so I can give it back," O'Neal added.

Reports claim Beckham got his wallet back after meeting with O'Neal. Beckham declined on making any further comment, but went ahead and posted an Instagram pic with the former NBA champion.
