After having their bids to sign Alessio Romagnoli and Marquinhos rejected, the Blues are shockingly interested in bringing back the Brazilian defender.

Chelsea's pursuit to sign a center back has forced Antonio Conte to consider some extreme measures...and those measures include bringing back David Luiz to Stamford Bridge.

The Italian boss was keen on signing AC Milan's defender Alessio Romagnoli, but his bid to sign the center back was rejected by Il Diavolo. Later this summer, Conte reached out to sign PSG's Marquinhos and Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly, but negotiations were unsuccessful. With that in mind, the former Juventus and Italy tactician might be forced to bring back David Luiz, while the club gets ready to splash £32 million to re-sign the Brazilian international.

According to the Daily Mail, PSG's officers would be willing to part ways with the midfielder, considering his recent performances with Les Parisiens. Last weekend, David Luiz was crucial for the team's defeat against Monaco after handing Les Princes a spot kick.

The player won the 2011-2012 UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League one year later with the Blues.

David Luiz left Stamford Bridge to join PSG soon after the 2014 World Cup for a £50 million deal, a record fee for a center back. During his spell with the French capital giants, the Brazilian has won eight trophies, including two Ligue 1 titles. However, his over-the-top and rather reckless behaviour usually earn him criticism from fans and experts, who believe him to be an overrated player.

The Daily Mail suggests that Antonio Conte believes he can get the most out of the Brazilian, whether he plays him as a center back or alongside holdign midfielder N'Golo Kanté.
