Although the whole world already knew Arsenal secured the signature of Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna, fans can now rest assured given that the club officially announced the deal for the striker.
The Gunners paid £17.1m for the 27-year-old who scored 17 goals in La Liga last season. Wenger will be hoping that the Spaniard proves a hit in England, as he spoke highly of the versatile striker.
“He’s not only a goalscorer, he’s a guy who combines well with partners, who can give a final ball and makes good runs. He’s got a good eye for goal and had an outstanding season last year,” Le Prof told the club’s official website.

Gooners reacted in the thousands. Whilst many just took to Twitter to welcome Perez, others gave their predictions on what may happen after completing the move. Here are the top four.
1. ACTUALLY learning who he is
Although Arsenal fans can brag about Perez being a bargain, not all can say they knew who he was prior to the rumors, as this one man honestly admitted.
Welcome @LP10oficial! Never heard of you before mind #bienvenidolucas

2. Winning the Golden Boot... really?
He scored 17 goals for a mid-table club, so does that mean he’ll score for fun with Ozil and Alexis behind/alongside him? Gooners think so.
Finally Lucas Perez is a Gunner!! This guy in front of Özil could be very dangerous #BienvenidoLucas pic.twitter.com/kgxmhnxMka

3. But wait, it gets better. He’ll also guide them to the league
Although it’s possible, this one might be a little ambitious.
We now have the best striker in the league.

4. Lastly, Perez will "snap" the No. 9
Whatever that means.
I think he is gonna snap the Number 9 shirt! All the best #BienvenidoLucas
