The Spanish boss revealed he will start preparing tactics for his first-ever Manchester derby during the International Break.

The never-ending feud between Pep Guardiola and José Mourinho will have another chapter written on September 10, when Manchester City and Manchester United face each other in what will be one of the most followed derbies in recent years.

Speaking after the Sky Blues' 3-1 win against West Ham, the Spanish boss refused to comment on his next opponents' tactics for one very special reason: he hasn't seen them play yet.

"Still I didn't see Manchester United playing, so now I have ten days to United, Borussia Mönchengladbach and other teams," Guardiola stated.

Both teams from the city of Manchester will get to their clash having won all of their previous games. With that in mind, the former Bayern Munich manager admitted the upcoming game is one he has been waiting to coach for a long time.

"We have to make an amazing performance to win at Old Trafford. I can imagine the atmosphere. I am looking forward to living that experience," Pep added.

Nevertheless, the Spanish coach hinted that it would have been ideal to play this game prior to the International break, given the amount of injuries some players suffer when playing with their National Teams.

"If we should play United in three or four days, OK, we go there. But now we go to the national team. We never know what is going on. Hopefully, they (Man City's players) come back with no injuries and in a good mood and we can do it," the coach concluded.
