Arsene Wenger has confirmed signing two key players for Arsenal.

Arsenal have confirmed signing Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez from Valencia and Deportivo La Coruna respectively. The two players are expected to join the North Londoners before the end of the transfer window.

Speaking moments after their 3-1 win over Watford, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed that the club had reached an agreement with the two players and that they had passed their medicals. He told Sky Sports:

“We have bought two players Mustafi and Perez. They will integrate into the team now and we will help them join squad. We had to work very hard to get signings done. We have not got any plans for anyone else now.”

Mustafi, a German defender, is expected to fill the gaps left by captain Per Mertesacker and his teammate Gabriel Paulista, who are both injured. Perez, on the other hand, is expected to lead the hunt for goals alongside the likes of Olivier Giroud, Theo Walcott, Santi Carzola and Alexis Sanchez.

The gunners have already made three summer signings - Granit Xhaka, Rob Holding and Takuma Asano. But the latter was sent to VfB Stuttgart on loan due to work permit issues in England.
