Turkish giants Besiktas are set to hold talks with Arsenal on Wednesday over the transfer of Samir Nasri. British publication the Daily Mail claim that the French forward was excluded from the Citizen’s pre-season squad due to his ‘weight gain’ over the summer but Besiktas are willing to give him a chance to regain his form in Turkey.
The 29-year-old joined the Etihad outfit in 2011 from Arsenal. Prior to his much-publicized move to the Etihad for £24m, he had scored 18 league goals for the gunners over three seasons. He was however quite unlucky at City, having managed to score 18 goals in 123 appearances in the league. 
He only played 13 matches in the 2015/16 campaign under former club boss Manuel Pellegrini thanks to a series of injuries. At City, he won two Premier League titles, one Community Shield and one Capital One Cup.
