Aston Villa are proving their intentions to return to the Premier League next season following the disappointing 2015/16 league campaign when they were relegated to the Championship. The Villa Park outfit have now announced their seventh summer signing Ritchie De Laet from Premier League champions Leicester Cityear on a three-year deal.

The 27-year-old, now joins the likes of Mile Jedinak, Aaron Tshibola, Ross McCormack, Pierluigi Gollini, James Chester and Tommy Elphick as the club’s new faces at Villa Park. Speaking moments after the arrival of the ex-Man Utd player, Champions League-winning coach Roberto Di Matteo told the club’s website:
"I'm pleased to have brought Ritchie to the club.
"He is another player who not only has Championship experience but has also played a part in helping a team win promotion back to the Premier League."
Leicester City also confirmed the departure of the Belgian defender through their official Twitter account. He won both the Championship and Premier League titles with the Foxes. Check out the tweets below:
