The Argentine striker was harshly criticized for being allegedly overweight during his first match with La Vecchia Signora.

Striker Gonzalo Higuain made his debut in an official game with Juventus, and he didn't miss the chance to hit back at those who labelled him as "fat".

A couple of weeks ago, Higuain's form was blasted by experts and colleagues, following his first game with Juventus against West Ham. The Argentinean striker failed to make an impression then, but once he scored the game-winning goal for La Vecchia Signora during his Serie A debut with the team, he challenged his haters to have another swing at him.

"It is better if you keep calling me fat, I will continue to score goals. Come on, I'm fine, I have trained for 20 days and I honestly do not understand all this interest on my condition," Higuaín told Tuttosport.

Higuain went on and revealed his happiness for such a stellar performance, hinting that he wished for this to happen beforehand.

You always dream of nights like this, but they do not always come true. This time everything went like a dream. The goal? From the outside it might look easy, but I guarantee you that it was very difficult," the striker added.

Juventus will continue their title defense next Saturday, when they travel to Rome and face Lazio at Stadio Olímpico.
