He may not have featured on the score sheet during the first three games of the tournament, but certainly Neymar made his presence felt just when A Canarinha needed him the most.
The Brazilian ace scored the fastest goal ever in the Olympic Football tournament, as he took advantage of some sloppy defending by Johnny Palacios.
Honduras was kicking the ball around their 16-yard box, and as Neymar tried to take the ball away from Palacios, the defender tried to clear the ball away unsuccessfully. Neymar controlled the ball and ended up taking a shot that was deflected by goalkeeper Luis López, but his clearance found Neymar's leg and the ball went slowly into the back of the net.
