The Spanish wingman left Real Madrid this summer looking for playing time, but yet another medical complication will keep him away from the pitch.

Just hours after Jesé had a brilliant debut with PSG, he will have to rest for three weeks.

The Spanish wingman was looking to establish himself as one of Unai Emery's top options up front for Les Parisiens, but the team's medical staff revealed the player will have to undergo an appendicitis surgery later today.

Rodríguez came on during the second half of the match between Bastia and the current Ligue 1 champions, and he proved to be  crucial for the narrow 1-0 win, as his deflected shot was sent to the back of the net by Kurzawa.

The wingman shared his excitement with fans on social media prior to Friday's match.

"First match of the season, with high hopes. COME ON!!"

The 23-year-old player was unveiled on Monday, after PSG agreed to pay Los Blancos €25M for the player's transfer. The player is set to be out of action for the next three to four weeks, according to the team's medical staff.
