The Argentine ace published a press release earlier today, revealing he will return with La Albiceleste for their upcoming games against Uruguay and Venezuela.

Lionel Messi will have another go at International Football, as he has reconsidered his position and will return to La Albiceleste next September.

In a press release issued earlier today, "La Pulga" revealed that his initial decision was taken in the heat of the moment, and after giving it some serious thought, he chose not to step down from the South American squad.

"I've noticed there are several problems right now in Argentinean football, and I don't want to be considered as one more problem. I've always wanted to help out, and I've decided that I want to right the wrongs in Argentinean football from the inside, rather than doing it from the outside," can be read in the press release.

Messi became Argentina's all-time top scorer this summer, surpassing Gabriel Batistuta's record.

The message didn't forget about his fans, and dedicated the last paragraph to thank them for their messages while he was "away".

"I thought about calling it quits for good, but I love my country and the team too much. I thank all of those interested in my situation, and I sincerely hope we can reward their trust by winning a major tournament in the near future," the statement concludes.

Messi will return to the team next month. The team's Twitter feed has already published Edgardo Bauza's first squad, and "La Pulga" has been included in it.
