Team news

Bastia

Last season, Bastia finished in tenth place, thanks to the turnaround orchestrated by François Ciccolini. The former French striker was brought in this past January after Ghislain Printant was sacked, and whilst a Champions League berth or Europa League spot may be too ambitious, Les Bleus, who brought in Thievy Bifouma, Lenny Nangis, Allan Saint-Maximin, Jerson Cabral and Enzo Crivelli this summer, are aiming to at least crack the top ten.

PSG

Currently under the guidance of former Sevilla boss Unai Emery, it's been so far, so good for PSG. Les Parisiens had an excellent pre-season campaign, winning all four of their games, and will be coming into this match having strolled to a comfortable 4-1 win over Lyon in the Trophée des Champions. This summer has seen a lot of big changes within the club, with star striker and club's all-time top goal-scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic departing on a free for Manchester United.

Other players who will be plying their trades elsewhere include defenders Lucas Digne and Gregory van der Viel, who were sold to Barcelona and Fenerbahçe for €12,000,000 and €7,500,000 respectively. However, they have brought in some interesting new faces, including Polish defender Grzegorz Krychowiak from Sevilla, striker Hatem Ben Arfa from Nice, defender Thomas Meunier from Club Brugge, and Jese Rodriguez from Real Madrid.

Broadcast info - Monaco vs. Guingamp

Who's playing: It won't be easy, but Monaco will be hoping to finally knock PSG off their perch this season. Les Rouges et Blancs start their season with a clash with Guingamp, who barely escaped the drop last term.

What time: Friday, August 12th at 11.30 PST/14.30/18.30 UTC/19.30 BST/20.30 CET

What stadium: This game will be played at the Stade Louis II. Located in the Fontvieille district of Monaco, it can seat up to 18,523 fans.

Team news

Monaco

After finishing third in last season's Ligue 1, Monaco had a mixed pre-season this summer. Although they had no trouble easily beating Portuguese outfit Sporting CP, they will be coming into this game having suffered a 5-0 mauling at the hands of Napoli. All in all, Leonardo Jardim's side shipped a whopping 20 goals in their eight warm-up games, but they're still course to qualify for the Champions League after powering past Fenerbahce.

Guingamp

In an attempt to revive their fortunes this season, Guingamp have brought in former defender Antoine Kombouaré following his departure from Lens. The new manager, however, will be coming into this game with a slew of injuries and suspensions. Nicolas Benezet, Étienne Didot, Reynald Lemaître, Jonathan Pereira are all on the treatment table, Alexandre Mendy sits out due to a ban, whilst Baissama Sankoh and Moustapha Diallo will have to pass a late fitness test.
