English Premier League holders Leicester City have penned a deal with Poland starlet Bartosz Kapustka.

Kapustka's brilliant Euro 2016 performances attracted top-flight European clubs but the Foxes won the race, as they have penned a deal with the player.

The youngster revealed that Italian manager Claudio Ranieri played a key role in the 19-year-old's decision to join Vardy and Co, telling Telewizja Polska:

"Yes, of all the offers tabled, Leicester wanted me the most.

"Ranieri's interest was a big factor for me. He was asking about me, he wanted me to join the team. This convinced me, but there were many factors.

"I'm not going there only because of the name of the club, or because they won the Premier League. I'm optimistic and think I have a real chance of playing time."

After a remarkable season, Leicester City have been aiming to keep their title-winning team at the club. However, N'Golo Kante has left the Foxes on a €32 million deal with Antonio Conte's Chelsea, while contract talks continue with Riyad Mahrez, Danny Drinkwater, and Kasper Schmeichel.

The team, who has traveled to Scotland and California for their pre-season campaign, endured a difficult 4-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday. Despite the French champions thrashing the 2015/2016 Premier League winners, Leicester City managed to win their first pre-season fixture with a 6-5 penalty shoot-out against Celtic.

Leicester City during their pre-season tour:

The Foxes' third match of the International Champions Cup will be against Catalan giants Barcelona, which will take place at Friends Arena in Sweden.
