On Thursday evening, Pep Guardiola won his first ever match with Manchester City, as his lads beat German giants Borussia Dortmund 6-5 in a penalty shoot-out.

After the Sky Blues' pre-season victory over the Black and Yellows, Guardiola openly spoke about his transfer targets with the new season rapidly approaching.

Speaking at the post-match press conference in Shenzhen, the 45-year-old manager was clear on his interests of bringing Schalke winger Leroy Sane and Everton defender John Stones to Etihad Stadium.

"Sane is a player from Schalke - you know, I know, everyone knows we would like to have him but at the moment he's a player from Schalke. If he comes, we'll be happy. If he stays, I'll be happy."

When asked about Stones, the former Bayern boss said:

"It's the same answer as for Sane - he's a player for Everton.

"Everyone knows we're going to try, but we will see. I'm so happy with the way we're training."

In addition, Manchester City is understood to be in talks to sign Brazilian wonderkid Gabriel Jesus and Colombia international Marlos Moreno.
