Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been rumored with a move to Real Madrid, has denied any negotiations with the Spanish giants.

The 27-year-old was quoted in Le Figaro allegedly saying he is interested in a switch to La Liga club.

"But the only club I would leave Dortmund for are Real Madrid. If they don't come calling, I don't leave.

"My grandfather, the dad of my mum, always wished that I would play in Spain. Two years ago, when he died, I promised him that someday I will play for Real - and I work hard to reach that goal.

"Real Madrid is my main goal but at the moment I like it in Dortmund. If there is a chance to go to Madrid, I will immediately say yes - but at the moment there is no contact."

However, the Gabonese striker took to his Twitter account to dismiss these statements.

The Borussia Dortmund ace wrote:

"Hello journalists, I want to be clear.

"I've read everywhere something I never said, which is 'only Real Madrid can make me leave Dortmund.

"I don't know who has changed my words, but I'm sad for the people who do what they want.

"I'm a Dortmund player and have been honest in every interview where I've spoken about my dreams since childhood, but there is nothing more [to say]."

Since the arrival of Aubameyang in 2013 from Saint-Etienne, the forward has been in outstanding form, as he is now considered as Europe's top strikers. He has made 175 appearances for the Bundesliga giants, scoring 93 goals in the process.
