Team news

Chelsea

Antonio Conte's men arrive in the USA having cruised to a very comfortable 8-0 win against lower-tier Austrian side Atus Ferlach, which was the third game the Blues have played in Austria this summer. Encouraging for the Italian tactician, of course, was new signing Michy Batshuayi's performance, which saw the Belgian grab a brace during the second half. Naturally, Chelsea's past three opponents are nowhere near the level of the sides they will face in the ICC  - with Real Madrid coming up after this game - but nonetheless Blues fans will be happy to see the team bounce back after losing their first game of the summer.

Chelsea, of course, are still not done spending this summer. The London giants have been quite active in their search for another striker, especially since Diego Costa continues to be linked with a return to Atletico Madrid. Meanwhile, new signing N'Golo Kante is set to link up with his teammates in the USA, giving America-based fans a chance to see the ex-Leicester City man in action before the start of the Premier League season.

Liverpool

Like many of Europe's big sides, Liverpool have had some comings and goings so far this summer. Notable departures include Slovakian defender Martin Skrtel, Ivorian veteran Kolo Toure, and versatile Welsh midfielder Joe Allen is another that is reportedly on his way out. Not surprisingly, there is also no room at Anfield for misfit striker Mario Balotelli, who was shipped out on loan to AC Milan earlier this year but has returned to his parent club.

Klopp, in his first full season, has not been afraid to splash some cash. So far, Liverpool has spent a total of nearly £66 million on new personnel, including Sadio Mane, Joel Matip, Loris Karius, and Georginio Wijnaldum. Mane, Matip, and Karius are expected to feature in the USA tour after taking part in some of Liverpool's prior four pre-season fixtures.
