Former Chelsea star Demba Ba suffered a ghastly injury in a Chinese Super League derby on Sunday.

The Shanghai Shenhua forward, who scored 14 goals in 18 appearances for the Chinese giants this season, collided with a Shanghai SIPG defender and suffered a broken leg. Images of the injury showed his broken leg dangling helplessly as the 31-year-old wailed in pain.

The Senegalese forward is expected to be out of action for at least six months. He will most likely fail to feature in any match for the Chinese outfit this season.
