Back in March, Zlatan Ibrahimovic brought back Eiffel Tower jokes by making the following statement concerning his future at PSG:
"If they replace the Eiffel Tower with a statue of me, I will stay at PSG. I can promise that!"
Responding to the big Swede's comments, the iconic monument's twitter account tweeted the following reply the following day:
"I like your humour, Ibra and PSG and the view of Paris is so beautiful from here... but the Tower, it's me!"
On Wednesday morning, Cristiano Ronaldo tweeted an image that may incite the Eiffel Tower to react (again). The injured Portuguese captain, who lifted the UEFA Euro 2016 trophy last Sunday in Paris at the expense of hosts France, has added salt to the wounds of disillusioned French fans. The image, as seen below is a caricature of Ronaldo's trademark free-kick position with his legs wide open representing the shape of the Eiffel Tower. Nike Football tweeted the same image, three hours before Ronaldo shared it, with the message: "Greatness is contagious"

Cristiano Ronaldo is set to miss the 2016 Spanish Super Cup on August 9th. The 31-year-old is currently on vacation.
