The Pep Guardiola era is truly over. The day for Carlo Ancelotti's first press conference as Bayern Munich boss has finally arrived.

For Carlo Ancelotti, it is a new start. After winning La Decima in 2014 with Real Madrid, he was controversially sacked by club president Florentino Perez in May 2015 and replaced with Rafael Benitez who did not last long at the Bernabeu. In December of that same year, Bayern announced him as Pep Guardiola's successor. He signed a three-year contract which officially started on July 1st, 2016.

In his first presser on Monday morning, the three-time Champions League title winning coach declared:

"I am very happy and proud to be here!

"I love to play attacking football. We have a great squad," he added concerning the style of play he aims to impose on the squad.

"I think the only thing that we cannot control in football is the result. And if I could control the result, I would be a magician. But I am not a magician. I am only a football manager."

Carlo Ancelotti begins work this Monday as training is scheduled to begin at 16:30 CEST. His side will open their domestic campaign with a fixture at home to Werder Bremen on August 26.
