Cristiano boasts a single victory over Les Bleus ahead of their UEFA Euro 2016 final showdown.

France are understandably favorites to win when they clash with Portugal in the UEFA Euro 2016 final at the Stade de France, and for a number of reasons.

Firstly, the hosts have home advantage and the superior form, with Cristiano and Co. winning only one game en route to the final without needing extra time or penalties.

In addition, Les Bleus have the sensational Antoine Griezmann in their rank, currently leading the top-scorers chart with 6 goals.

The 1998 World Cup winners even have history on their side, having won their last 10 meetings with Selecção das Quinas – their last defeat being a 2-0 friendly loss back in 1975. All three of their clashes at major competitions have ended in victory for France, winning in the 1984 European Championship, Euro 2000, and the 2006 World Cup.

Ronaldo did however enjoy victory against France back in 2003. Portugal clashed with Les Bleus in the 2004 European Under-21 Championship play-off. Having lost the 1st leg 2-1, Cristiano inspired his nation to a 2-1 win in the reverse fixture, scoring the opening goal.

France eventually lost on penalties, with Djibril Cisse seeing red. Patrice Evra was present in that game, and so was Bruno Alves, the other goalscorer for Portugal.
