According to Bild, the World Cup winner has informed Bayern Munich that he is ready to find a new club for 2016/17.

Life at Bayern Munich hasn’t gone according to plan for Mario Gotze since joining the German giants from rivals BVB back in 2013.

The 24-year-old World Cup winner found playing time hard to come by under Pep Guardiola’s three-season reign at the Allianz Arena, and thus the German international is now ready to end his time with the Bavarians regardless of Carlo Ancelotti's arrival.

According famous tabloid Bild, Gotze has informed the Bundesliga champions that he has already made up his mind on finding a new club for the upcoming season. Furthermore, Mario informed his Bayern Munich team-mates of his decision to leave during the ongoing UEFA Euro 2016, where they reached the semis just to lose 2-0 to finalists and hosts France.

According to the report, BVB are interested in resigning their former ace, but Bayern aren’t keen on selling to their rivals despite having pried several stars from the Signal Iduna Park. Elsewhere, Gotze is attracting interest from the English Premier League.

At one point during last season, Gotze was linked with a reunion with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, whilst Arsenal – having missed out on the 24-year-old in 2013 – were believed to be in the mix. However, it’s the Gunners’ north London rivals Tottenham that are tipped to be leading the race.

Having secured Champions League football last season courtesy of a third-place finish, Spurs have a young and exciting squad which could just tempt the German to choose White Hart Lane.
