The Chilean ace is one of La Vecchia Signora's top targets during the transfer window, but they will have to improve their offer if they want to sign him.

Juventus' chances of signing Alexis Sánchez this summer were handed a serious blow earlier today, as reports claim that Arsenal rejected a £30 million bid from La Vecchia Signora.

According to Tuttosport, the Gunners chose to snub Juventus' offer to sign the two-time Copa América Champion mainly because they paid  £35 million a couple of years ago to snatch him away from Barcelona.

The striker has been a key performer for Wenger's crew since his arrival, scoring 29 goals and handing out 12 assists during his stint with the Gunners.

Juventus wants to add a top-caliber striker to their squad after Alvaro Morata's departure, which was confirmed earlier this week. In order to do that, they'll have to convince Arsenal to part ways with the Chilean, who played a key role in both of La Roja's Copa América title runs in 2015 and 2016.

Juventus' chances of signing Sánchez are slim, even if the bianconeri increase their bid. Nevertheless, Arsenal's intentions of signing Alexandre Lacazette & Julian Draxler could force them to sell the former Udinese striker in order to raise the necessary funds to add both players.
