Chelsea want to bring Belgium star to the Stamford Bridge after his impressive display at the Euro 2016 despite playing for less than 15 minutes.

Premier League giants Chelsea are on the verge of signing one of the most sought-after talents in modern football, Michy Batshuayi. The Belgium star missed the group stage games in the ongoing Euro 2016 but was introduced in the last 16 match against Hungary as a substitute, and found the back of the net after less than five minutes on the pitch.

The Marseille forward is also said to be a top transfer target for other Premier League sides such as West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Tottenham Hotspur. Speaking of Spurs, coach Mauricio Pochettino is said to be a great admirer of the 22-year-old. In April this year, he told French radio station RMC:

"We are looking for a striker this summer, that's clear. Michy's a young player who has a lot of talent. He is on the list of many clubs. We have quite a few people who have given us information about him. He has good potential. We'll see.’’

The Blues are said to have offered his club 40 million Euros for the transfer of the dreadlocked forward, with negotiations still going on. SkySports is also reporting that he has already passed a medical for the West London club and the two could link up immediately after the Euros to put pen into paper and start preparations for the new season.

He is expected to form a lethal partnership alongside his national teammate Eden Hazard. In his senior club career, Batshuayi scored 39 league goals in 97 appearances for Belgium side Standard Liege and 26 goals in 62 appearances for his current club Marseille.
