England have been bundled out of the Euro 2016 by the most unexpected opponent; Iceland.

Iceland, a country of approximately 333,000 people pulled a Leicester-like performance despite trailing England as early as the second minute when Raheem Sterling was brought down in the box. The Three Lions captain Wayne Rooney stepped up to put the ball into net but no sooner had they started celebrating than man-of-the-match Ragnar Sigurdsson found the equalizer.

Kolbeinn Sighthorsson then drove the last nail into England’s coffin before bundling them out of the competition in the most humiliating and embarrassing way. For a country that sits at the 34th spot in the latest FIFA rankings, defeating England who sit at the 11th spot was no mean achievement. This was evident as thousands of travelling fans from Iceland broke into wild celebration when the referee blew the final whistle.
