Thiago Alcantara vows Spain will stick to their renowned passing game against Italy in the last 16 of UEFA Euro 2016.

On Monday, Spain will go head-to-head with Antonio Conte's men at the Stade de France. Following Spain's late 2-1 defeat to Croatia, Thiago believes his team must continue their authentic style of play to beat the Azzurri.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, the Bayern Munich midfielder admits the difficulty of breaking down Italy's strong defense. However, the 25-year-old trusts his side's famous 'tiki-taka' style to help book their ticket to the quarter-finals.

"It's difficult to score, and it's difficult to create opportunities against them."

"We got the results with this approach, let's not forget.

"Our football is no longer just based on the midfield. We have midfielders who know how to control the ball, wingers who push up and defenders who can mark with or without a reference point.

"We can play with various styles, but always based on passing play."

Thiago, 25, has made two appearances for La Roja at Euro 2016 but has yet to score in France.
