Once again, Angel Di Maria will have to watch Argentina's final match from the stands.
After showing signs of recovery during the course of this week, Di Maria was forced to leave Argentina's training session in Houston, as he had a relapse from a groin injury he picked up during La Albiceleste's second game of the tournament.
Last year, Di Maria started the Copa América final against Chile, but had to leave the pitch due to a similar injury. Coach Gerardo Martino expected to have the Argentinean wingman available, but this new setback will force him to use either Nicolás Gaitán or Erik Lamela.
Di María scored one goal and handed out two assists for La Albiceleste during this tournament.
The team's Twitter feed revealed the news.
"Di María couldn't complete today's training session due to a strained muscle. Further studies will show the adequate evolution of the injury".
