England's Harry Kane claims he is eager to participate in his side's anticipated clash against Iceland.

The 22-year-old Tottenham Hotspur player insists he is ready to face Iceland, brushing off rumors that he is 'tired.'

The Three Lions finished as runners-up of Group B and are now set to face Gunnarsson's Iceland in the last 16 of UEFA Euro 2016. After Roy Hodgson made several major changes to the starting line-up in their recent games, many will be eager to see which players start on Monday's match.

Meanwhile, Kane has suffered a frustrating start to this top-flight tournament. Due to his poor performance in England's opening match against Russia, Hodgson kept him on the bench for the remaining two group stage fixtures. This led to many questioning that the striker is tired after a long domestic season with his Premier League club. Harry-Kane

However, speaking at the pre-match press conference, the England international says he is fresh and ready to face Iceland on Monday.

"I'm not tired. I've had it before," he said. "A lot of people spoke last year and said the same thing when I was with England U21s.

"I'm 100 per cent fresh, I feel sharp, I feel ready - if called upon I'll be out there giving it 110 per cent."

A victory over Lars Lagerbäck's men would see England play France or the Republic of Ireland in the quarter-finals. If they then progress to the semi-finals, they are to face either Spain, Germany, Italy or Slovakia. Kane believes his side will not fear any opponent.

"We're pretty calm. There's been a lot of talk about being on this side of the draw and who we could face, but we're a confident bunch of players.

"If you're going to win a major tournament you are going to have to play some of the best teams, so we're calm and focused on Iceland."
