Scholes, 41, has quite the resume. The ex-Red Devil has made a whopping 700 caps with Manchester United, bagging 11 Premier League titles and two Champion League trophies. However, in 2013 he was forced into retirement due to ongoing knee issues.

Nonetheless, the former English footballer is thrilled to start playing again, as he revealed his thoughts on the Indian futsal league in a recent interview.

"Futsal is a fascinating format that has played a pivotal role in developing the skills of some of the greatest football players.

"Premier Futsal will be a great way to introduce the sport to India and I'm looking forward to meeting the fans across India who I know are some of the most passionate in the world."
