French star Antoine Griezmann has signed a new contract that keeps him at Atletico Madrid until 2021. The Spanish club officially announced the deal through their website and Twitter accounts.

Part of the statement read:
''Antoine Griezmann has renewed his contract with our club until the June 30th, 2021. The French striker extends his contractual relationship for one more season with the Atlético de Madrid.''
The club also quoted the 25-year-old as saying:
"I'm very satisfied, very happy to keep belonging to this family and this project. I want to improve every year, and the club, the coaches and my teammates can help me to reach this goal".
The ex-Real Sociedad man joined Atleti in 2014 and has since scored 44 league goals in 75 appearances, a performance that has made him a top transfer target for European clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Juventus.
Griezmann is currently on international duty with France at the Euro 2016 and has so far scored a goal, which was a powerful header that rescued Les Bleus from a draw against Albania on June 15.
