And the France superstar could smash the world record transfer fee if he completes a Liga BBVA switch.

Hosts France are through to the next round of UEFA Euro 2016 after the 0-0 draw with Switzerland, finishing as Group A leaders. However, head coach Didier Deschamps will be hoping star midfielder Paul Pogba is not distracted by recent interest from Real Madrid.

The Juventus midfielder has on previous occasions hinted at a stay in Turin, but now a transfer to the Spanish giants appears to be on the horizon, with his agent confirming that there are ongoing talks with Los Blancos.

Mino Raiola, the representative of the French superstar, told Marca that Pogba could even shatter the current record and become the world’s most expensive player should his Bernabeu switch pushes through.

"We are in the preliminary phase of negotiations," said Raiola. "Pogba admires Real Madrid and [head coach] Zinedine Zidane and this is going to be very important in his decision."

"[He could cost] €120 million or €140m," the player’s agent added. "He is worth whatever the club are willing to pay for him."

Pogba, who left Manchester United for free back in 2012, could become a Galacticos and join previous mega-money signings Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, with the latter costing Real Madrid a world-record fee of just above  €100m.

The 23-year-old, despite failing to impress with Les Bleues so far in UEFA Euro 2016, has established himself as one of the best midfielders in Italy, winning four Serie A titles since arriving four years back.
